[Call for Appilcation] The 3rd Martial Arts Research Initiative for Experts(MARIE)

 

The 3rd Martial Arts Research Initiative for Experts(MARIE) will be held from 2 July to 2 August 2019 in Chungju, Republic of Korea with objectives to:

▲ Contribute to youth development and engagement through inclusive and systematic martial arts programs

▲ Promote equitable participation of young women in martial arts

 

Main tentative programme

  ○ Curriculum

    - Theory Classes for capacity builidng

    - Practice Classes on various martial arts

  ○ Extracurricular

    - Sports Field Tour

    - Korean Culture Experience Tour

    - Korean Language Class

  ○ Discussion and presentations sessions

Application and selection 

  ○ Maximum of 5 experts will be selected. The selection decisions are based on the applicant's accomplishments

      and potential. We review a number of factors-records of past studies and experiences such as study plan,

      personal statmeent and letters of recommendation.

      The gender parity and geographical regions are also taken into consideration

  ○ Eligibility Criteria(Occupation/Age) : Martial arts researcher or instructor aged between 23-35 years

  ○ Selection Process

      Application Revision - English Interview

Travel and accomodation : UNESCO ICM will cover the training fees, airfare, place or residence and living expenses during the programme

Application must be received by the UNESCO ICM no later than 29 March, 2019 by Korean Standard Time

    The UNESCO ICM will confirm receipt of applications via email and only applications meeting

    the elegibility criteria will be examined.
