UNESCO ICM hosts in 2022 the 5th International Youth Online Martial Arts Camp

- 40+ participants from 8 countries including Nepal, Malaysia and Singapore -

UNESCO ICM will host the 2022 5th International Youth Online Martial Arts Camp, inviting Korean and international middle school and high school students

This event will take place under the title of ‘Becoming Healthy Global Citizens.’ More than 40 youth participants from 8 countries - 1 Ghanaian, 7 Nepalese, 3 Taiwanese, 15 Korean, 5 Malaysian, 1 Motswana, 5 Singaporean and 3 Indian students - have been invited to participate in the event.

Due to the spread of COVID-19 globally and young people tending to have lower vaccination rates, this year’s camp will be held on Zoom and in the metaverse.

In the first session, which will be held from July 20th to 21st, participants will engage with their peers and build friendships by introducing their home countries, preparing group discussions, presentations and group entertainment based on traditional games.

In the second session, which is scheduled between July 27th and 29th, programs such as Taekkyeon and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practice, group presentations, traditional culture experiences and empowerment lectures, will be provided in order to build mindsets as global citizens.
