1.      What kind of positive effects of martial arts activities have you had?

Learning East Asian Martial Arts was my childhood dream. However, I started Taekwondo with a bit of anxiety and fear. The reason is that I have no previous experience and I am afraid that I will injure my arm and foot again due to an accident I had as a child. Over time, I felt very close to Taekwondo, which I started with warm-up exercises. With Taekwondo, which I continued with patience, I felt that my self-confidence increased over time. I have an interest in learning martial arts and increased more and I decided to develop it further and do it professionally. One of the other positive effects I have had is that I have fulfilled a small dream and I am very happy about it. The martial arts training provided me with the development of feelings of respect, love and trust. After being caught in COVID-19 3 times, I felt psychologically stronger and more peaceful. Now I have more energy and smile a lot because of learning Martial Arts (Taekwondo).

2.      How do you feel and experience about martial arts learning activities in your life?

The fact that we started with a greeting before the lesson really made me feel this sport is very respectable. It was always on my mind when I was doing another job and during my breaks I would quit my job and do Taekwondo moves. I was very excited about the different games we played near the end of the lessons. The games were very fun and motivating. Two Korean Masters, Mr. Choi Young Min and Mr.Lee Sung Je made us feel strong by giving motivation and strength to the other students and me. This motivation was reflected in our friendship, our family and most importantly, with a small smile on our faces. I am looking forward to teaching these games and moves to my family, students and friends.

3.      What are the most satisfying things about the martial arts programme?

I think this programme is a great opportunity. It was a great privilege to learn from the professionals and I think I made good use it very well. I was really pleased when we shouted while learning Taekwondo defence. The fact that they care about us and take care of us really made us feel like family. And in this case, it strengthened the bond between us and our teachers through martial arts training.

4.      Please write down any positive comments regarding the programme.

I think that I have improved myself in martial arts and Taekwondo. I had the opportunity to get to know myself much more closely. At the same time, this program helped me develop my communication skills along with the development of my self-confidence. Also, I decided to learn Korean too. I wish this program was much longer. It is because making progress in Taekwondo made me very happy. Thanks to this programme, I have made good friends. My admiration for East Asia, especially South Korea grew even more. By getting to know our teachers, there were positive changes in my ideas and thoughts about South Korea. I felt that the country of South Korea was closer to Turkey. I am really proud to be a student of Master Young Min and Master Sung Je. Because they took care of us one by one and made us love training martial arts. I know they love us and we really love them too. We are so grateful to them for everything they have taught us. Thank you very much for the great opportunity to learn martial arts.
