Subject [Call for Applications] Poster Presenters of the ICM's 10th Anniversary International Martial Arts Seminar

The International Centre of Martial Arts for Youth Development and Engagement under the auspices of UNESCO (ICM) invites undergraduate and graduate students from around the world to participate in a poster presentation session to be held during ICM’s 10th Anniversary International Martial Arts Seminar on November 13, 2026. The poster session aims to provide a platform for young researchers and practitioners to share research findings and practical experiences related to martial arts, sport, and inclusive social development, while promoting academic exchange and networking. We warmly welcome your participation.

 

Eligibility

- Undergraduate and graduate students from around the world  * Remote networking and communication opportunities will be supported for overseas participants instead of in-person attendance

- Applicants residing in South Korea must be available for in-person participation and able to communicate in English for poster presentations and discussions

 

Themes

- Research and case studies on promoting social values through martial arts and sports (e.g. social inclusion, gender equality, sustainable development)

- Research and case studies on empowering vulnerable groups (women, youth, and persons with disabilities) through martial arts and sports

- Research and case studies on enhancing participation in and improving accessibility to martial arts and sports

 

How to Apply

- Submit the application form and abstract via Google Forms

 

Submission Period: June 22, 2026 July 24, 2026 23:59 (Korean Standard Time)

 

Selection Process

- Application and abstract submission abstract review selection of presenters poster preparation and presentation final evaluation

 

Notification of Selected Presenters

- Selected presenters will be notified individually in early August, 2026.

 

Poster Presentation

- Date and Time: 13 November 2026 (Fri.), 10:30-17:30

- Venue: 73 Otgat-gil, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, Republic of Korea

- Poster presentations will be held as part of the ICM’s 10th Anniversary International Martial Arts Seminar


Benefits

- Certificate of Participation signed by ICM Secretary General, and an honorarium for all presenters

- Awards and cash prize for a Best Poster (1 team) and Outstanding Posters (2 teams)

* Each team may consist of up to two members
