ICM has published the World Martial Arts: Towards a global overview, an initial outcome of ICM’s attempt to draw an overview of martial arts around the world. The report provides information about 300 martial arts of the world and comprehensive understanding of their current status. It also discusses contemporary issues situated at the intersection between martial arts and varied sociocultural aspects, including ‘martial arts and music’, ‘martial arts and change’, ‘women in martial arts’, and ‘martial arts and nationalism’.
