Title UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and UNESCO Category 2 Centres Meeting

On June 28th, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay spoke about the role of UNESCO at the 13th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity. After the speech, UNESCO ICM participated in a Category 2 Centre Meeting and introduced visions and activities of the Centre. On June 27th, the Centre also participated in a Networking Meeting hosted by the Korean National Commission for UNESCO.  

 

On June 28th, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay spoke about the role of UNESCO in the multilateral cooperation between education, culture and science sectors, at the 13th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity.

 

After her speech, the Director-General met with UNESCO Category 2 Centres in Republic of Korea. UNESCO ICM Secretary General Sihyun KIM introduced visions and activities of the Centre. Ms. Azoulay emphasized the importance and role of Category 2 Centres and requested for a sustainable and comprehensive projects in which citizens from all over the world can participate in.

 

On June 27th, the Centre also participated in a 2nd Networking Meeting hosted by the Korean National Commission for UNESCO. During the session, the Centre participated in constructive discussions on projects in progress and their status with APCEIU, ICHCAP, i-WSSM, and other organizations that are preparing to establish and become new UNESCO Category 2 Centres.
