The International Centre of Martial Arts for Youth Development and Engagement under the auspices of UNESCO (Secretary General: KIM Kyujig, hereinafter "ICM") and the Seoul National University Gwanak Residence Halls (Director: SUH Eunyoung, hereinafter "GRH") signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 11, 2026, to strengthen university students' competencies in international cooperation.

The key components of the MOU include: ▲ joint planning of educational, cultural, and sports content such as seminars, special lectures, and field experiences; ▲ operation of career exploration programs for students utilizing international organization cooperation networks; and ▲ collaborative implementation of youth capacity-building programs.

On the same day, at 7:00 p.m., the two organizations jointly hosted the "SNU Open LnL Special Lecture: Career Path in International Organization UNESCO" for enrolled students at a seminar room on the Gwanak Campus of Seoul National University. ICM's Head of International Cooperation, CHO Sungsik, and Professor LEE Wonjae of Kookmin University served as lecturers, sharing firsthand knowledge and insights on careers in global sports and pathways into international organizations. The lecture covered ▲ pathways and recruitment structures for intergovernmental international organizations, ▲ sports diplomacy and career opportunities in the international sports field, and ▲ required competencies and strategies for entering international organizations. A Q&A and consulting session for participants was also held following the lecture.

Building on this MOU, the two organizations plan to continuously develop effective programs that support students' global advancement by combining ICM's international organization network—including UNESCO—with GRH's educational infrastructure.
