UNESCO ICM is organizing the International Youth Martial Arts Camp at the Chungju Youth Training Center for 87 youth from six countries starting August 8th to 13th (for six days, five nights). The camp's significance is in its role as the nation's first effort to provide opportunities for young people all over the world to exchange and communicate with each other.

Organized by the International Centre of Martial Arts for Youth Development and Engagement under the auspices of UNESCO (“Centre”), the second International Youth Martial Arts Camp (IYMAC) will be held at the Chungju Youth Training Center for six days, five nights from August 8th to 13th. The IYMAC aims to offer the world's young martial arts practitioners the opportunity to gather in one place to exchange their cultures and establish friendships.

The camp's participants include 87 youth from six countries-Bulgaria, Canada, China, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, and Singapore-who are excited about the range of program offerings, such as martial arts practice, water sport experience, and tours of the World Martial Arts Museum and the Korean Folk Village.

The first IYMAC held in 2017 attracted 109 youth from Indonesia, the Philippines, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Viet Nam, who highly acclaimed the practice sessions where they learned each other's martial arts.

The camp's significance is in its role as the nation's first effort to provide opportunities for young people all over the world to exchange and communicate with each other. The Centre plans to attract more countries to participate in the camp with the aim to facilitate networking among youth all over the world through martial arts.
